Robert J. Dietz Obtains Compete Defense Verdict in Favor of Surety

Robert J. Dietz of BrigliaMcLaughlin recently obtained a complete defense verdict for a surety client on a payment bond claim in Maryland. The surety had been sued by a claimant under theories of breach of contract and bad faith.  At trial, Mr. Dietz was able to prove that the surety had not breached the contract and had not acted in bad faith in denying the payment bond claim. Therefore, the court found in favor of the surety and denied the claimant any damages.
