March 30, 2011 - BrigliaMcLaughlin is pleased to announce that Shannon J. Briglia will be presenting a live and interactive telephone seminar for Virginia CLE on May 17, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. titled The Top 15 Virginia Construction Law Cases That Every Practitioner Should Know. During this two-hour presentation, Ms. Briglia and co-presenter Mr. K. Brett Marsden of Gentry Locke Rakes & Moore will provide an overview of the case law from the past year, as well as fundamental opinions that are regularly relied upon by judges and other practitioners, that every construction lawyer should know. The topics to be covered include surety issues, bond claims, “no damages for delay” and “pay if paid” clauses, the Economic Loss Rule, notice issues, architect and engineer liability, first material breach, indemnity and flow down provisions, mechanics’ liens, and damages.
