Shiva Sharifahmadian joined BrigliaMcLaughlin, PLLC as an associate in 2011. She practices complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on construction law, government contracts and surety defense. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Sharifahmadian represented clients in multidistrict litigation and class actions at the law firm of Finkelstein Thompson, LLP in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Sharifahmadian received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia, and her juris doctorate from the George Mason University School of Law. During law school, she served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Law, Economics and Policy, was a Writing Fellow for the George Mason Legal Research and Writing Program, and was a member of the American Inn of Court. Ms. Sharifahmadian worked as a judicial intern in the Fairfax County Circuit Court for the Honorable Leslie M. Alden.
